Our Story

Ideal Upholstery director David Peppard is a is a master craftsman with a lifetime of knowledge and experience behind him, combining old fashioned quality and service with forward thinking. David started as an apprentice with JB upholstery in 1981 and worked with them for 12 years, learning and perfecting his trade. During his time with JB he worked on all aspects of upholstery including all types of domestic suites including deep button and antique, as well as contract bar seating recovering and manufacturing new seating made to measure.

In 1993 David Founded Ideal Upholstery and has carried his profession to the next level. Ideal Upholstery have a reputation across Ireland for quality workmanship and attention to detail. Our many clients include The Backshop, Des Higginbotham & Son, Richard Adams antique restoration, Abberley Court Hotel and recently Musashi Japanese restaurant, as well as many happy consumers.
